Coffee conservation

La conservation du café

It may seem trivial, but storing coffee is of crucial importance to ensure that it retains its flavors and freshness. What to do and what not to do? We reveal everything to you in the following lines!

It is recommended to keep your coffee at room temperature and avoid exposing it to temperature changes. Coffee should be protected from light and air as much as possible. So you can put your coffee bags in your cupboards or pantry.

We recommend not putting your coffee in the fridge or freezer, as it can retain odors or get moisture. Think ice cream that tastes like old shrimp. Haha.

Once the bag is opened, you can also store your coffee in an airtight container to ensure optimal protection.

Another important thing to know is that it is much better to buy coffee in small quantities at a time than to "stock up". In fact, your coffee will be fresher if you buy it as you go than if you let it sit in your cupboards for long periods of time. Even more so if your coffee is already ground. Plan on enough coffee for a maximum of two weeks.

A coffee cannot actually “expire,” but it can very well lose its aromas over time.

So here are all our tips for making your coffee delicious! Don't hesitate to write to us at info@cafellini.com for more information or come and see us directly at our branch to ask your questions
